Videm

The Municipality of Videm lies on the southern edge of the Drava Plain, where the Haloze hills come closest to the branches of the Dravinja River. The place was named after the parish church of St. Vitus, which was built already in the Romantic period and was first mentioned in 1320. In the municipality, we find many cultural and ethnographic particularities, and many customs have been preserved. Due to its favorable wine-growing location, the municipality is renowned for excellent wines of selected varieties and for its rich culinary offerings.
