Ethnographic Museum Tržec – Djočan Homestead

If you travel along the old road from Ptuj towards Podlehnik, you will see the Tržec Fire Station on the left side as you enter the village of Tržec. At the next crossroads, turn left and follow the signs for “Djočan Homestead”, which will lead you to the Ethnographic Museum. The museum houses a preserved ethnological collection called “The Collection of Haloze Heritage”. At the homestead, members of the local cultural society present traditional farm work, such as weaving fishing nets and baskets, sharpening scythes, and repairing hoes. The homestead also offers space for picnics, gatherings, and educational workshops. Throughout the year, various events take place, and visitors can even enjoy a raft ride on the Dravinja River.
