A century-old tradition of winemaking

The Ptuj Wine Cellar continues the centuries-old tradition of winemaking in the historic center of Slovenia’s oldest town. The winery also boasts one of the largest and most renowned collections of archival wines in the region. Among them, they carefully preserve the oldest Slovenian wine, Zlata trta, dating back to 1917. Wine enthusiasts can even choose a vintage from their year of birth from this rich archival collection.

The Ptuj Wine Cellar is also home to the oldest distillery in Slovenia, whose spirits have been known for generations under the Petovia brand.

Wines

Our grapes ripen in the renowned vineyards of Haloze and Central Slovenske Gorice. Each year, we refine around one million liters of wine, of which 85 percent are white varieties. Our wines are known under the brands Pullus, Haložan and Pinky Chick.

Pullus

Pullus wines are among the most awarded Slovenian wine brands. They are segmented into the Terroir line with a white label and the Artisan line with a black label.

The Terroir line is synonymous with varietal recognizability and distinctive terroir expression, ranking in the highest quality class.

The Artisan line brings together more complex and richer wines. The labels carry old, nearly forgotten Slovenian grape names: Bela Klevna, Rulandec, Muškatni Silvanec.

Haložan

Haložan is a wine with geographical origin and quite possibly the first one-liter wine in the world to win a gold medal. It is the oldest Slovenian blend, composed of grape varieties typical for the Haloze wine-growing district.

Pinky Chick

Pinky Chick is a youthful, fresh, and lively trendy rosé. On the nose, it delights with its fruity-floral bouquet, which continues into a pleasant, slightly sweet aftertaste with a gentle play of bubbles.

We invite wine lovers to visit our wine cellar, complemented by special wine and culinary experiences in our Wine Hall. Together with local farms, oil producers, restaurants, and other partners, we create an unforgettable pairing of fine dishes and wines from the rich collection of Ptujska Klet. We offer guided tours and tastings for up to 50 people by prior reservation.

The Wine Hall can also be rented for conferences and other events, with a capacity of up to 50 guests.
