Statera Wine Estate

The Statera Wine Estate brand entered the wine market on the foundation of the Kotolenko family’s many years of experience, hard work, and tradition. Marija, Slavko, and Gregor, with the support of the entire family, cultivate grapes on vines into which they had already instilled their love and trust at the very planting of the vineyards. On the slopes of eastern Haloze, distinctive, varietally expressive, elegant, and fresh wines are created — wines that embody everything the Kotolenko family is and lives for.

Statera means balance. For us, it is more than just a name — it is both our philosophy and our challenge. At Statera Wine Estate, we seek harmony in every step of winemaking, from vineyard to cellar, while also embracing balance as a way of life.

Tradition in Balance with New Technologies

In the vineyard, we seek balance between traditional grape cultivation with appropriate yield management and new technologies that allow minimal use of protective agents, thus contributing both to the preservation of biodiversity and to the final quality of the grapes. In the cellar, we pursue balance for each variety individually, striving for harmony in the wine — an excellent interplay of vibrant acidity, gentle alcohol, and delicate sugars. Our vineyards are located in close proximity to the national border, and so we also maintain balance in terms of international cooperation in every respect.

Balance is something we strive for in our family as well

Most importantly, we also seek balance within the family, where three generations come together to unite the traditional with the modern, and ancient wisdom with new knowledge. This enables us to craft premium wines that carry the fingerprint of our unique Haloze vineyards, our family, and our friends. This is what Statera truly represents.

Offer

We offer Šipon, Sauvignon, Pinot Gris, Rosé, and Yellow Muscat. Tastings are available by prior reservation in our cellar (for up to 40 people). Upon request, we can also provide a platter with cold cuts, homemade bread, and postružka (local cheese). At the end of the tasting, you are welcome to take a walk through our vineyard.
