Lovrenc is located in a valley beneath Rogla, on the northern side of the Pohorje Hills. Due to its unique location, it has developed a special character over time. The municipality is home to numerous sacred buildings, which the locals are still proud of today – among them the Parish Church of St. Lawrence, after which the town was named.
