The biggest wine producer around Maribor
At the Dveri-Pax Wine Cellar, they continue more than 800 years of Benedictine winemaking tradition in northeastern Slovenia.
You can find the Dveri-Pax Wine Cellar in the village of Jarenina, 15 km from Maribor on the way to the Austrian border. In recent years, they have become the largest winemaker in the Maribor area, cultivating 73 hectares of their own vineyards.
In recent years, the Dveri-Pax Wine Cellar has become one of the most modern wineries in Slovenia. The superior quality of its wines is proven by numerous awards from international competitions, where they have received the highest honors. In addition to Šipon and Sauvignon, as well as Pinot Noir, their sparkling wines have also achieved top scores at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards in London.
In the beautifully restored 16th-century manor, the castle wine shop offers indulgence with premium wines and delightful snacks.

Since the wine cellar cultivates a culture of discovering and intertwining diverse flavors, great care is taken to ensure that the debut wines are accompanied by excellent snacks, enriched with organically grown vegetables from the castle garden.
At the Dveri-Pax Restaurant, guests are pampered in the vaulted cellar of a renovated manor more than 450 years old. The estate is best known for its excellent wines and, since love goes through the stomach, a permanent culinary offer has also been created under the guidance of chef Gregor Šagi.
His dishes are refined combinations, enriched with herbs and spices from the castle garden. Premium wines and cuisine attract more and more visitors to the estate, who, especially in the summer months, are indulged quite literally in nature.
In 2023, the Gault Millau reviewers awarded the restaurant three toques.
