Gorišnica

Gorišnica is situated in the middle of the Ptuj Plain, on both sides of the canal for the Formin Hydroelectric Power Plant and within the floodplain of the Pesnica River. Toward the foothills and on the southern slopes of the Slovenske gorice, noble grapevines thrive. Today’s town center is shaped around the parish church of St. Margaret, dating back to the 14th century.
