Središče ob Dravi

Written sources first mention Središče in 1255, when the Lords of Ptuj accepted it as a Hungarian fief. Archaeological finds reveal a prehistoric settlement from the Late Stone Age, Roman coins, and the remains of buildings with traces of earlier and early Slavic settlements. In the Middle Ages, the settlement developed around a tower castle.
