Korošec Homestead with a black kitchen

The Korošec Homestead has an interesting past. The current owners, the Gričar family, place great emphasis on preserving the cultural heritage of the building. Inside, a beautifully preserved black kitchen can be seen, along with numerous historical household items. The house is over 400 years old. A large stable once stood beside it, but it burned down several decades ago. At the time of its construction, the homestead owned vast estates and vineyards around this part of Zgornji Partinje, including the hamlet of Dugo.

Back then, the homestead was called Pristava and operated under the lordship of the Hrastovec Castle estate. The large stable was used for breeding a significant number of horses needed by the manor for fieldwork and warfare. During that period, the Hrastovec lords also owned another large estate named Pristava near the Šiker Inn, which is why the nearby reservoir is still called Pristava Lake. The building is recognized as profane architectural heritage and is listed in the Register of Immovable Cultural Heritage.
