Vuzem Homestead

The Vuzem Homestead stands on an excellent vantage point, offering views stretching all the way to the Pohorje hills. It is located in the village of Varda. The house was built in 1787, as indicated by the date carved into the beam inside the main room. The homestead consists of a masonry ground-floor house with a cellar and a farm building, all covered with a gabled brick roof. A special feature of the homestead is its wine press. Most of the house is residential, while the attic preserves valuable objects that tell the story of rural life in the past.
