Methans house

Methans House – The House of Stories is truly something special. It is a small private museum. The current owner, Leopold Methans, a stonemason from Spodnja Velka, purchased this over 200-year-old building, which once served as an inn, and transformed his passion for preserving cultural heritage into reality. On the ground floor, he arranged gallery spaces for meetings of artists and writers, as well as for various lectures and workshops. The first floor houses several ethnological collections, including a furnished bedroom with a double bed and wardrobe, sewing machines, old family photographs, books, newspapers, and magazines. In the cellar, there is a special exhibition area used for occasional events.
