Factory Paloma

The story of the Paloma brand dates back to 1873, when the forests on the slopes of the Slovenske gorice hills, the waters of the Mura River and the people of the surrounding area laid the foundations for a factory producing wood pulp and cardboard. This year also marks the beginning of papermaking in Sladki Vrh, which later developed into one of the most important success stories of the Slovenian paper industry.

In the 1970s, Paloma reached another milestone by introducing the first roll of toilet paper to the Yugoslav market, as toilet paper had previously been sold only in individual sheets. During this period, the Paloma brand, still well known today, was also established. Over time, the company expanded its product range to include paper towels, facial tissues, feminine hygiene products and baby diapers. In the years that followed, Paloma continuously expanded its production capacities, introduced new products, and in 2013 completely redesigned its visual identity. Since then, the company has received numerous awards for product quality and customer satisfaction.
