Church of St. Jožef Delavec

The church in Rače was built in 1967, with an annex added in 1982.

In 1971, the church windows were fitted with colorful stained glass, created by academic painter Stane Kregar (1905–1973). The stained glass depicts the “History of Salvation, including the Way of the Cross.”

Since the church is located on the first floor, an elevator was added in 2004.

In spring 2011, the church interior was thoroughly renovated in preparation for the installation of a new mosaic. In October 2011, Fr. Marko Ivan Rupnik created a mosaic with the motif of Jesus’ miracle of the multiplication of loaves.

In the basement level there are spaces for youth (Youth Center Jožef), while the church courtyard also features a special area for the youngest – a children’s playground!
