Botanical Garden TAL 2000 is the first private botanical garden in Slovenia, established with the aim of raising awareness about the plant world, preserving natural heritage, and educating the wider public. It serves as an example of good practice in private initiatives in the fields of nature conservation, education, and sustainable tourism.
The garden is designed as an educational and presentation space, featuring a wide variety of aquatic, waterside, medicinal, and poisonous plant species. Of special value is its collection of rare and endangered plants, including specimens that are disappearing in nature. In addition to its botanical section, it also offers visitors a look at various collections, such as the largest collection of growing aquatic and waterside plants in Slovenia, a collection of medicinal and poisonous plants, a smaller collection of minerals and rocks, and other interesting flora and fauna. The garden also invites visitors into the fairy-tale world of Knight Parzival.
Within the garden grounds, there are also features designed for children, such as a fairy-tale-themed educational trail and nature corners that encourage exploration and hands-on learning. The garden regularly hosts school groups, organizes nature days, workshops, and other educational events.
