Ormož Wine Route

The winegrowing area along the Ormož Wine Route stretches across two branches. The first begins in Ormož or Dobrava and leads through Kogl and Strezetina to Runeč, then continues through Žvab to Pršetinci. From there it proceeds across Koračič Peak, over Senik, Sodinci Peak, and Drakšl to Velika Nedelja. This branch is about 30 km long. The second branch of the wine route winds from Podgorci to Cvetkovski Peak and across the Bresnica Valley to Zamušani Peak. It is about 10 km long and connects to the Jeruzalem Wine Route. Along the Ormož Wine Route one encounters exceptional natural beauty as well as rich ethnological and cultural-historical heritage. On the slopes of the hills there are still quite a few old wooden wine cellars with thatched roofs, known as klečaj.
