Ptujska Gora

Ptujska Gora is a clustered settlement along the Ptuj–Majšperk road, with its center built around the square and the magnificent Gothic church standing atop a 352-meter-high hill, visible from afar. It is considered one of the most beautiful Gothic churches in Slovenia, attracting pilgrims, tourists, and casual visitors alike. In 2010, on the 600th anniversary of its consecration, the church was proclaimed the Basilica of Our Lady of Mercy.

Ptujska Gora is also a popular destination for hikers and cyclists, thanks to its splendid views over the Drava Plain and the Haloze Hills, and serves as a starting point for several hiking trails.
