Rogoza Manor
Rogoza Manor acquired its present appearance in the 19th century. The medieval Rogoza Court was the center of an estate that originally belonged to the provincial prince, while in the 12th century the village was granted to the monasteries of Viktring and Žiče. In the copper engraving from Vischer’s Topography of Styria, created around 1681, Rogoza is depicted as a one-story building with a twelve-axis façade (two times six axes) and a masonry stair tower on the entrance side. Based on this engraving, a watercolor was produced in the second half of the 18th century, which is still preserved in the manor. The stair tower and portal have not survived, but simple profiled window frames are still visible on the upper floor. Today, the building houses a correctional facility.
