Vodole Wine Fountain

The Vodole Wine Fountain is located at the Sončni raj Estate in the village of Vodole, just a few minutes’ drive from Maribor. It opened in November 2019 and is considered one of the largest wine fountains in Europe.

Hemp wine 420 remains part of the permanent offer, and the contents of the wine barrels will continue to be curated by the organic Valentan Farm, Joannes Protner House, Mak Wine House, Vino Emil, and Zlati grič. In addition, the winemakers Vino Leber and Vina Krajnc have joined.

For tastings, visitors receive a special RFID-chipped glass with which they can stroll among the barrels and pour the wines of their choice themselves. Alongside the wines, there is a wide culinary selection that includes cured meats from local producers, smoked pork knuckles, homemade cheeses, as well as vegetarian and vegan dishes.

In 2025, the Wine Fountain will host more gourmet ventures, with top chefs pampering guests.

The program will continue to feature “Good Wine, Good Vibes” themed evenings with DJs, and thanks to new partners there will also be more nights dedicated to tastings of Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Austrian wines.

The Sončni raj Estate offers other activities as well, such as an adrenaline ride on the two-way “Bee Flight” zipline, walks through the permaculture garden, herb plantings, and the apiary. For those who wish to extend their stay, overnight accommodation is available in the unique “Nesting Resort.”

The Vodole Wine Fountain is thus an ideal spot for lovers of wine, nature, and adrenaline who want to experience genuine Styrian hospitality amid rolling wine-growing hills.
