STOJAN KERBLER'S CABINET Gallery of the City of Ptuj Stojan Kerbler (born in 1938 in Ptujska Gora) is one of the most recognizable personalities of Slovenian photography. Among the many awards he has received in Slovenia and abroad, he points out the Prešeren Award (2020), the introduction of which was a large retrospective on the occasion of the master's eightieth anniversary at the Modern Gallery in Ljubljana (2018). Stojan Kerbler describes himself as a "photographer of the home yard". The photographs with which he became famous all over the world were in fact taken in the environment where Stojan Kerbler lives and where he knows well the people who put themselves in front of the lens of his camera. People simply love the gentleman, who does not go anywhere without a camera, and in the municipalities of Majšperk and Ptuj, where he lives, he was honored in 2004 and 2008 by being declared an honorary citizen.
