DENIS DRAŽETIĆ - INTIMATE FORMS: STUDIES OF THE NUDE The exhibition will be on display from Wednesday, November 4, 2026 to Saturday, January 9, 2027 at the Luna Gallery. With this year's last exhibition, they announce the sale of small sculptures in terracotta and bronze by academic sculptor Denis Dražetić. While Dražetić's work is often intended for public space – from bronze portraits to monumental replicas such as the four-meter-high Royal Sower – the exhibition Intimate Forms opens up his quieter, more personal creative side. The presented studies of the human nude in smaller formats arose from the artist's personal need to explore the anatomy, tension and movement of the body. Working on live models and dialogue with the sculptural tradition are intertwined in his works into a direct, relaxed expression. The sculptural work of Denis Dražetić is best known to the general public for its monumental public monuments, bronze portraits and complex replicas of Slovenian sculptural heritage, such as the four-metre-high King's Sower. In these commissions, the sculptor and his work serve memory, space and the client. The exhibition Intimate Forms represents another, quieter side of his work: studies of the human nude in smaller formats, which arose from a personal need to explore the anatomy, tension, weight and movement of the body. The figures are created after observing live models and studying the works of other sculptors, which mirrors the artist's interweaving of direct observation and silent dialogue with the sculptural tradition.
