Cycling routes of Štajerska
Set off on a cycling journey through Styria and ride along the Drava River, through Maribor and Ptuj, across Pohorje, or among the wine-growing hills of Jeruzalem, Haloze, and the Slovenske Gorice.
Drava Cycling Route - Drava Bike
The route, with a total length of 510 km, leads from the source of the Drava River in Toblach, Italy, through Austria to Slovenia, and continues to Croatia, where it ends at the confluence of the Mura and Drava rivers near Legrad. The Slovenian section is 145 km long and mostly follows less busy local roads and well-maintained cycling paths. Due to varying road surfaces and a more demanding ascent between Podvelka and Lovrenc na Pohorju, the Slovenian part of the route is best suited for well-prepared cyclists. The use of trekking and e-bikes is recommended. One of the more interesting experiences to enjoy along the way is traditional rafting on the Drava River.

Cycling through Maribor
Slovenia’s second-largest city and its surroundings are interwoven with diverse cycling routes. Both regular and electric bikes are available for rent. With e-bikes, you can extend your trip without running out of energy.
Cycle along the World's Oldest Grapevine Trail and discover Maribor’s rich wine tradition. Venture into the wine-growing hills or head to Pohorje to taste local homemade specialties. Adrenaline seekers, on the other hand, can take on the wild slopes of Pohorje.

Cycling in Ptuj
The idyllic natural setting along the Drava River provides a perfect backdrop for a variety of cycling experiences. Well-maintained cycling paths and less traffic-heavy roads around Ptuj are ideal for recreational cyclists who enjoy scenic views. The rolling hills of the Slovenske Gorice and Haloze, on the other hand, offer a challenge for those who enjoy conquering climbs.
