Museum collection of Feliks Rejh
The Feliks Rajh Museum Collection is displayed in the Cerkvenjak beauty—as some call the Tušak Homestead. This restored rural building from the second half of the 19th century, built in the Neo-Renaissance style, provides a charming setting for the collection. More than 20 years ago, Feliks Rajh began his first collection, which today numbers around 800 diverse exhibits. The collection includes antique furniture, household utensils and tools, small working machines, musical instruments, weapons, photographs, old postcards, stones, and minerals. Among the highlights are a preserved old shop, a replica of a period cash register, pre–Second World War furnishings (school classroom equipment, an old pharmacy), a hand-powered washing machine, shaving cabinets, a candle-lit film projector, vintage cameras, and a unique collection of old postcards. The oldest exhibits are two Neolithic axes discovered in nearby Andrenci. The collection represents just a fragment of the rich mosaic of history and daily life in Cerkvenjak and its surroundings. The Rajh family’s museum house is open to the public.
