MARIBOR AVIATION CENTER

An aviation club with more than 95 years of tradition brings together all lovers of aviation and skydiving. The Center comprises the following sections: powered flight, gliding, ultralight, and skydiving, and includes 240 members and trainees.
If you’d like to train as a sport pilot or skydiver—or simply experience the magic of flying and jumps—you are warmly invited to join us. The airfield is also a social hub: we organize various events and guided tours presenting our activities.

WINE TASTING ON BOARD

You are also invited to a very special experience: a wine tasting aboard a 1980 DC-9, an exhibition piece at the Maribor Aviation Center in Skoke.

After purchasing a symbolic “airline ticket,” you board the aircraft and choose your seat. Our sommelier will then treat you to excellent wines (in addition to sparkling wine, three still wines) and local delicacies—various cheeses with accompaniments, cured meats, and bread—all from the Ravno Polje destination. You can also visit the cockpit. Of course, the aircraft will not take off, making this ideal even for those who may be afraid of flying. Wine tastings on the aircraft are available by prior arrangement.
