Church St. Lovrenc Juršinci
The Parish of St. Lovrenc – Juršinci is a Roman Catholic territorial parish, belonging to the Ptuj deanery, the Ptuj–Slovenske gorice archdeanery, which is part of the Archdiocese of Maribor. The Church of St. Lawrence, surrounded by buttresses, was built between 1517 and 1540. The building is constructed in the Late Gothic style. When the Rosary Chapel was added, the nave tower was demolished, and a new one was built with a Baroque dome.
The portal of the Gothic entrance is an interesting example of a mixture of Renaissance and Gothic elements. The church is 27 meters long and 8 meters wide, with the presbytery reaching a height of 8.6 meters, while the nave is 8.5 meters high. The roof is covered with bobrovec tiles, and the floor is paved with cement tiles. The Stations of the Cross in the church were painted by the academic painter Slavko Pengov. The interior of the church was renovated in 1935 and again in 1963.
