Historic Town Center of Jurovski Dol

The clustered core of the settlement of Jurovski Dol, which today forms the village center, developed around the church, featuring multi-storey buildings such as the rectory, the old school, and an inn, as well as single-storey and raised-ground-floor residential houses with farm outbuildings. Today, it comprises the Parish Church of St. Jurij with the rectory, the renovated Jurovski Dol Cultural Center, Slomšek Hall, and Špindler Inn. The dominant feature of the settlement is undoubtedly the Gothic church with its imposing bell tower, Renaissance portal, and Baroque chapels with altars by J. Holzinger. East of the church lies the old cemetery, surrounded by a stone wall. The clustered village core represents a high-quality rural agglomeration, combining the parish church, purpose-built structures of a market-town character, and traditional farmsteads. The church dates back to the 16th century, while the other buildings were constructed in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.
