Parish Church of St. Jakob
In the old town center stands the Church of St. Jakob. The Parish Church of St. Jakob is located on the eastern edge of the Town Square. The church was first mentioned in 1271. In the 15th century, a long chancel was added, followed later by a chapel, which in the 16th century was converted into a side nave. After the fire of 1647, the nave was vaulted and the bell tower heightened. The oldest frescoes in the church date from around 1400, while the north nave contains Renaissance paintings from the Old and New Testaments, created after 1632. Also noteworthy are a statue of Mary with the Child and a relief of the donor kneeling beneath Christ. Opposite the entrance to the Church of St. Jakob stands a Baroque Marian column from the late 18th century.
