Wildlife Park

The Destrnik Wildlife Park is located on the Horvat family homestead in Vintarovci, which is part of the Municipality of Destrnik.

It is home to a wide variety of animals, including mammals and many different bird groups—such as climbing birds, waterfowl (lamellirostrate birds), crane-like birds, flightless running birds (ratites), and wetland birds, as well as parrots, other birds, owls, and birds of prey. Among the animals you will also find alpacas, llamas, kangaroos, emus, and more. The park is predominantly home to birds—many of which are considered endangered, or are no longer found in the wild. In the background, you can hear the gentle murmur of a stream, whose cool flow calms the mind and invites relaxation.

The park offers engaging content for families with children, primary and secondary school pupils, students, and people with special needs. Its main purpose is education, information, awareness-raising, and the care of endangered animal species, which visitors can experience up close.

You can visit the park every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 19:00, while larger groups can also arrange visits outside regular opening hours by prior agreement. Admission is free for children up to 3 years of age; for others, affordable prices and group discounts are available.
