Štajerska kulinarika
Buče so zelo stara kulturna rastlina in človek je v stoletjih vzgojil veliko vrst, ki se med seboj razlikujejo po obliki, barvi, velikosti in ne nazadnje tudi po okusu.
Prav golica je buča, iz katere dandanes, tako kot pred sto in več leti, pridobivamo bučno olje. Kar 2.8 kg suhega semena potrebujemo, da iztisnemo en liter dragocenega gosto tekočega olja.

Meso iz tünke je prav tako znamenita kulinarična posebnost. Zapisi pravijo, da naj bi se na tem področju pripravljala že od 15. stoletja naprej. Osnova so primerno veliki, najboljši kosi svinjskega mesa, ki jih mojstri nasolijo in potopijo v razsol za 14 dni.

To je gibanica iz kvašenega testa z zavihanim robom ter skutnim nadevom in predstavlja le eno izmed različic številnih pogač.
Tovrstna pogača ima kar nekaj imen (haloška gibanica, kvasenica, sirova zafrknjača, kipjena gibanca), vendar gre v osnovi za podobno jed, ki so jo včasih izdelovali na okroglem loparju za peko kruha ter pekli v krušni peči. Privoščili so si jo ob pogostitvah, ko so zaključili z delom na polju ali vinogradu, ob nedeljah ali za razne praznične priložnosti.
