Mit ihren drei Türmen grüßt sie schon von weitem die Einheimischen und lädt den müden Wanderer ein, sie zu besuchen. Im Jahr 1631 wurde hier eine hölzerne Kapelle errichtet, doch die Kunde von drei Lichtern, die den Menschen erschienen, verbreitete sich immer mehr. Man beschloss, eine Kirche zu bauen; diese entstand in den Jahren 1636–1643 und war fast dreimal kleiner als die heutige (sie reichte nur bis zur heutigen Kanzel). Bis heute haben sich nur der Turm (beim Hauptaltar), ein Teil des Kirchenschiffs und die Glocke aus dem Jahr 1666 erhalten, die im Presbyterium zu sehen ist. Im Jahr 1663 übernahmen die Augustinermönche die Kirche. Mit Hilfe des Schlossherrn von Negova, Traunmansdorf, vergrößerten sie sie und weihten sie 1667 erneut, an ihrer Südseite errichteten sie ein Kloster. Mit finanzieller Unterstützung von Graf Drašković begannen sie 1735 mit dem Bau einer neuen Kirche, die 1772 geweiht wurde. Auf ihren Wunsch wurde das Kloster 1787 geschlossen, die Heilige Dreifaltigkeit wurde eine der Pfarren des Dekanats Lenart. 1811 verließen die Mönche den Ort und überließen ihn den Weltpriestern. Im Jahr 1854 übernahmen die Franziskanermönche die Pfarre, die sie bis heute betreuen. Der prächtige barocke Hochaltar mit mächtigen Säulen, Statuen und Engelsfiguren sowie dem berühmten Gemälde darüber, das das Geheimnis der Heiligen Dreifaltigkeit darstellt, stammt aus den Jahren 1752–1756 und gehört zu den drei größten Altären Sloweniens. Auch die sechs Seitenaltäre sind nicht weniger außergewöhnlich. Eine Besonderheit ist die berühmte Loreto-Kapelle mit der Statue der Schwarzen Maria mit dem Jesuskind, die 1693, als Dank für das Ende der Türkenüberfälle auf dieses Gebiet, an die ursprüngliche Kirche angebaut wurde.
